Minister María de la Luz Domper Rodríguez holds a degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Applied Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC). In addition, she has over 30 years of teaching experience at various universities.
She has authored various publications on regulation and competition, and has been a speaker at seminars on these topics, both in Chile and abroad.
She served as Sub-Director of the Free Competition Program at the PUC Faculty of Law between July 2024 and June 2026, and as Director of the E4E (Economics for Everyone) Program at Faro UDD from September 2024 to June 2026. She currently remains a professor in both programs.
Mrs. María de la Luz Domper served as Judge Economist of the TDLC for two terms, between 2012 and 2024, and previously served as Substitute Judge Economist from 2008 to 2012 at the same tribunal.
On June 30, 2026, she was appointed as a Minister.
