María de la Luz Domper, Judge Economist

María de la Luz Domper holds a Commercial Engineering degree with a major in Economics from Universidad Católica de Chile (1993), and a master’s in applied Macroeconomics from the same university. Until her appointment as Judge of the TDLC, she held the position of deputy judge of the TDLC from 2008 to 2012. She is a professor at the Institute of Economics and at the Diploma in Competition Law at Universidad Católica de Chile, and the author of various publications on regulation and competition. Previously, she served as senior researcher at Libertad y Desarrollo, a Chilean think tank, as Chief of Advisors of the Ministry of Public Works of Chile and as Coordinator of the Interministerial Coordination Division of the Secretariat of the Presidency. She was appointed as Judge Economist of the TDLC in 2014 for a first term and was appointed for a second term in 2018.
